Parent Partnership provides information and support for parents and carers of children with special
educational needs.

It works closely with local voluntary and statutory
organisations to help plan its service.

Parents can be helped and supported by:

  • Offering a confidential listening service for parents to discuss concerns about their child’s special educational needs;
  • Providing user-friendly information;
  • Informing parents about voluntary or statutory organisations that can provide further help;
  • A volunteer independent parental supporter.

Parent Partnership trains and co-ordinates a team of volunteers who can support parents in many ways, including help with paperwork, meetings in school or with statutory assessment and statements.

‘Partnership News’ is produced each term and is available on our website, in schools and libraries or from the address below.
