Hackney PPS

We offer:

• Impartial information, advice and support to parents and carers  and their children and young people with special educational needs (SEN)
• Telephone and face to face advice support
• Independent parent supporters
• Regular workshops for parents - 'Knowledge is Power' on different subjects to do with SEN
• Annual conference for parents and carers
• Leaflets and  booklets about SEN
• Interpreters arranged

Our service operates from a resource centre for parents and carers and their children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The resource centre is open Monday to Friday and staffed by three advice and information workers.

It includes a library and 2 PCs with internet access for use by parents and carers.

As well as support with SEN issues, parents and carers can get information and support with housing, social care, leisure and play opportunities and healthcare issues.
