The service provides support
for parents/carers who may have concerns about any
child's special educational needs as well as advising on
procedures for other related services for children and their
educational needs - such as, exclusions. They offer independent
information and advice on all aspects of SEN, including statutory
assessment. They can provide support at meetings with the school,
local authority and other professionals, and help with reports and
letter writing about your child’s special educational needs issues.
The service also liaises with other agencies and sign posts
parent/carers to organisations that would be able to give further
support
